Kayak Lessons

The kayak courses are taught by one of our certified instructors on the 22 acre Skinner lake right off our back door step. Each course is approximately 4-5 hours and follows a standardized cirriculum. Courses for water sports are taught on Sunday mornings from 9am-2pm. Paddle Sports Lessons cost $80 per person plus tax. Advanced reservations are required, class sizes are limited,and a minimum of two participants is required. Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by legal guardian. You must sign up before 8pm Friday night. Our instructors certified through the American Canoe Association.

Kayaking Tours

If you are interested in exploring the local and regional waters of North East Florida, Black Creek Guides offers beginner level Eco-Historical Kayak Tours. Our Kayak trips run on Saturdays. Custom and group trips are available, call the shop to make arrangements with our trip leader. The trip cost is $65 per person plus tax. You must sign up before 8pm Wednesday for our normally scheduled trips. A detailed trip list is posted for the season here, through in-store handouts, or by calling the shop.

Stand Up Paddle Lessons

Interested in knowing how to stand up paddle or want to tune up your paddling skills? Join us on or 22 acre lake behind the Black Creek Outfitters store in Jacksonville Florida. Rock Climbing Lessons

Interested in learning how to climb? Well we have just the ticket! Or climbing course is taught on premise on our private indoor rock wall. This course is approximately three hours of instruction, covering the basics. This includes but is not limited to basic equipment, nomenclature, knots and anchors, basic rappelling, belay technique, body and footwork, and much more. Class sizes are limited, and the cost is $50 per person 2 people min. Reservations are required and cancellation fees may be assessed.

Kayak Fishing Charters

The charters are arranged around light tackle, artificial and seasonal baits are the focus. We welcome personal equipment or the option to use our basic tackle set-ups. Seasonal conditions and tides may vary. Target species include Redfish, Sea Trout, and Flounder. Fishing charters are available only by inquiry and reservations.
