WPA Certifications We Offer

SUP Level 1:

This 1 day course is great for those looking to become SUP certified through the World Paddle Association (WPA). It is good for those looking to learn the most basic techniques and information about paddling, and a great course to take to build up your confidence out on the water. The perfect introductory course for those interested in instructing others in the fastest growing watersport around!

In this course you will be assessed in the following areas:

  • Personal Paddling Skills
  • Board/Equipment Considerations
  • Risk Management
  • Water Dynamics & Boating Laws
  • Rescue Techniques
  • Water safety information

Price

$300 - WPA Level 1 Certification 

This is a one day (8 Hour) course

More on the WPA Certification We Offer

  • WPA Level 1: Introduction to SUP

  • The WPA Level 1 course is a 1 day course from 9am-5pm and it is for those looking to become SUP certified at a very basic level

  •  The WPA offers SUP Instructors Certification classes that are conducted around the country and other regions of world. The curriculum is put in place by the WPA Instruction Board of Directors that is compromised of elite safety waterman with extensive training, competitive backgrounds and certifications.

  • The mission of the WPA is to provide a comprehensive voice, fair and equal access and organizational structure to the sport of Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and its participants in a manner that benefits the collective paddling community

WPA Prerequisites

  • Candidates must be up-to-date on their First Aid and CPR certification
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Instructor candidates should have prior experience and knowledge coming into the workshop
  • In order to pass this course, WPA Instructor Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge and teaching ability to pass at this level
